Sherwin Williams Peppercorn

SW 7069 / LRV: 10

Sherwin Williams Peppercorn is dark charcoal gray. It’s a popular paint color for both interior and exterior purposes. It has a light reflectance value of 10, meaning very little light is reflected. If Peppercorn is used in an area with inadequate lighting, it will make the room feel smaller. Natural lighting would be the best option, but keep in mind that this color will change depending on the time of day.

A lot of people compare Peppercorn to Tricorn Black. Without proper lighting, Peppercorn can appear much darker than it actually is. Towards the bottom of this article, you’ll see other colors that are similar to Peppercorn, but made by different paint companies. You’ll also see paint colors that pair well with Peppercorn.

Is Peppercorn a warm or cool color?

Sherwin Williams Peppercorn leans towards to cool side. Depending on the light, Peppercorn can look a bit blue in natural lighting. In rooms that face east, west, or south, the lighting will be warmer with more of a yellow hue and may cause Peppercorn to have a purple tone. Ultimately Peppercorn is a cool color because of it’s cool undertones.
